Bohorquez 2004 from Spain's famous Ribera Del Duero region is a red wine blend of 85% Tempranillo and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Bohorquez has a nice heavy color of cherry purple. The nose has a good and powerful intensity with an important presence of red fruit, balsamic and grilled bread. In the mouth expect roundness with big volume and full body, the red fruit jam, cherry and raspberry are well integrated with the oak barrels that provide an elegant smoothness. The wine provides sensations of stability and amplitude. The finish is long with some notes of cocoa and black fruit. Only 55,750 bottles produced.

Bohorquez 2004 is a deliciously elegant wine from the Ribera Del Duero region of Spain. The wine is aged in a tank for 2 months and then moved into the French and American Oak cask for an additional 15 months. This blend has been in the bottle since March 2006. The recommended drinking time is from now until 2013. Bodegas Bohorquez produces unique red wines using the best Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes from their own vineyards, located on the Pesquera plateau, on the Valderramiro slope (at an altitude of 900 metres above sea level) and on the fertile lowlands of the right side of the Ribero Del Duero, between Peņafiel and Pesquera. With limey soil, they have opted for less production but higher quality grapes, which will be transformed into elegant, mineral wines.

RATING: 90 Points - Steve Tanzer's International Wine Cellar
"Deep ruby. Ripe cherry and blackberry aromas offer a suave, floral overtone and bright mineral lift. Seductively smooth, with deep dark berry flavors, supple tannins and a bright, focused finish. This offers enormous immediate appeal."
