In the nose Matarromera Gran Reserva 1996 delivers a broad, intense, frank and very complex aroma prevailing of very ripe and jammy soft fruits such as plum, strawberry, red currant, fig, raspberry as well as others coming from the blueberry variety which are very well-merged with aromas of aging noble cedar wood and vanilla, licorice and coffee. There are hints of chocolate, sweet tobacco and menthol. Matarromera Gran Reserva 96 displays a fleshy mouth with an ample backbone and powerful and lively body.
