Bill Frick and Judith Gannon started this winery in 1976 with the proceeds from the sale of their 1957 Chevrolet. In the small, cool winery, hidden away on a back road, Bill Frick hand crafts complex, rare wines that reflect the true character of the grape. Frick Wines are individually crafted by hand. Traditional time honored methods of wine making are employed; that include hand harvesting the grapes, punching the cap by hand during fermentation, soft pressing, no fining or filtering and aging in small oak barrels.
RATINGS: Frick Winery is not known to submit wines for rating. They feel that word of mouth is sufficient to sell the small production of the wines that they make.
Recommended Pairing: cranberries, goat cheese, any wild game (venison, moose, elk), bbq pork, lamb shank, wild mushrooms, minty lamb with couscous, lamb vindaloo, grilled skirt steak. |
